My memory card was working fine, why did it suddenly stop working?
Perform the following checks and actions.
1) Are you using an SD card that exceeds the capacity supported by the device?
→Check the capacity supported by the device.
⇒*Even if you have been able to use the card, the device may not support the card's capacity.
Note that just being able to use a memory card in a device does not mean that it is a compatible device.
2) Have you formatted the SD card on the device?
→SD cards are formatted at the factory. However, some instruction manuals for digital cameras, mobile phones and other devices, but not personal computers, may include instructions such as, "Format the SD card on the device before using it." If that is the case, follow the instructions in the instruction manual and format the SD card on the device.
3) There is a problem (bad connection, etc.) with the slot on the device.
→Is the SD card recognized when inserted into another device?
If the above measures do not solve the problem:
→Format your SD card on a computer using specialized SD memory card formatting software '
SD/SDHC
Memory Card Format Software' (a separate window will open). Use an external SD card reader or a computer with an SD card slot that supports the capacity of your SD card.
*Always use the software above when formatting your SD card on a PC. The SD card will not be formatted correctly if you use your PCs standard format function.
*Even after formatting your SD card using the above software, be sure to format it again on your digital camera or mobile phone if the instruction manuals says it is necessary.
→If formatting your SD card on a PC using SD/SDHC Memory Card Format Software does not solve the problem, contact the window in each region. click

The card functions normally on a camera or cellular phone. However, my PC or printer does not recognize it. Errors such as "Data disk is write-protected", "Format the card" and "Card contains no data" are displayed, and the card is unusable.
A probable cause is that the memory card slot on your PC or printer does not support the capacity of memory card you are using.
Check the capacity supported by the device with the device manufacturer.
If the capacity is not supported, you can use the memory card on your PC by either using an external memory card reader that supports the capacity of the memory card you are using, or by connecting the card directly to your PC using the USB cable provided with your camera or cellular phone.
The 2GB microSD card/SD card I bought was supposed to be 2GB. However, it's recognized only as a 1GB card.
A probable cause is that one of the devices you are using (SD card reader, cellular phone, digital camera, etc.) does not support a capacity of 2GB. Normally, 2GB cards cannot be used on devices that do not support a capacity of 2GB.
However, in rare cases, 2GB cards sometimes can be used.
If a card is mistakenly formatted on a device that does not support 2GB capacity cards, it will sometimes be formatted to the maximum capacity supported by that device (in this example, 1GB).
Use of cards on devices that do not support a capacity of 2GB might also result in malfunction.
Always check with the manufacturer of the device you are using to see if the device supports the capacity of the SD card you are using.
If the card is mistakenly formatted on a device that does not support a particular capacity, or the card's capacity is different from what it should be, you might be able to restore the card to its normal state by reformatting it using the SD memory card exclusive format software '
SD/SDHC Memory Card Format Software
(a separate window will open)' on your PC or on a card reader that supports the card's capacity.
*The SD card will not be formatted correctly if you use your PC's standard format function. Always use the software above when formatting your SD card on a PC.
I seem to have mistakenly inserted the card in the device with its back and front sides reversed, and now I cannot remove it from the device. Tell me how to remove the card from the device.
Applying excess force to remove the card might damage it.
Consult with your nearest electrical store or Support Center for the device to see if it needs to be dismantled or repaired.

A warranty certificate is not included with the product. In the event of a problem caused by manufacturer error, the product can be exchanged for an equivalent new product (however, trouble from worn hardware and damage from external causes are not covered). For music data:
Used when transferring or playing back music data on devices that support SD-Audio (cellular phones, SD audio players, PCs, etc.). (*2)
*1. According to the specifications, SD cards can only be used on devices that have content protection (CPRM: copy guard) which utilizes specific information about the SD card itself.
*2. Conditions for transferring SD-Audio-format music data from a PC to an SD card
:Music management software (SD Jukebox, etc.) that supports SD-Audio must be installed on the PC.
In addition, one of the following must also be true.

:Use of a PC with an SD card slot that supports content protection.
:Connection of a device that supports SD-Audio (cellular phone, SD audio player) via a USB cable to the PC.

Is it necessary to make a backup of data stored on my SD memory card?
(Applicable product: SD/SDHC/SDXC UHS-I/microSD/microSDHC cards)
Yes. Because memory cards are rewritable media that can be repeatedly recorded and deleted, data loss and card errors may occur in the unlikely event that the device (digital camera, cellular phone, etc.) malfunctions or has a low battery. There are also concerns about loss or damage. You should periodically backup important data.
Important data should be backed up on multiple types of media (HDD, CD-RW, CD-R, etc.). When backing up data for the long-term, we also recommend using 'write once media', such as CD-R and DVD-R, that cannot be deleted.
When using a cellular phone, Special methods may be necessary to back up paid content. For more information, please contact customer support for your cellular phone provider.
Is it necessary to format my SD memory card before using it?
(Applicable product: SD/SDHC/SDXC UHS-I/microSD/microSDHC cards)
Toshiba SD memory cards are pre-formatted based on the specifications stipulated by the SD Association. They are ready for use on a PC.
However, on devices that have a format function, such as cellular phones or digital cameras, you must reformat your SD card before use. (Please consult the manual for your device.)
Do not format your SD card using your PCs standard format function.
Your memory card may no longer be recognized by your device.
When formatting is required on your PC, be sure to use the dedicated software (*).

Can I insert or remove my SD memory card memory card while my device is turned on?
(Applicable product: SD/SDHC/SDXC UHS-I/microSD/microSDHC cards)
Because inserting or removing an SD memory card without turning off the device may result in loss of data or a malfunction, before doing so, turn off the device such like digital cameras, mobile phones, etc, except for PCs. You do not need to turn off your computer before inserting or removing an SD memory card, however, use the "Remove hardware safely" (or equivalent function) when removing the card.
